Venomous spiders are making their way into UK households over the course of the next four weeks, leading experts to warn Brits to shut their windows "day and night".

Specifically, these are False Widow spiders, which are considered the most venomous in the UK, packing a wasp sting-like bite.

These are part of an exclusive club of 12 spiders in the UK that are known to have bitten humans.

It's important to note that their bite is not lethal, but their venom can result in swelling and painful burns and may lead to fever.

They are closely related to the infamous Black Widow spider, and are about to embark on their annual mating-season march indoors.
