Ben Johns and Anna Leigh Waters are two of the top players in the Professional Pickleball Association and they once again showed why on Thursday.
The duo dominated in their first two matches in mixed doubles as the Veolia Bristol Open continued the Bristol Sportsplex.
Defending champs in the event and the top-seeded squad, Johns and Waters overpowered the pairing of Marshall Brown and Michelle Esquivel 11-4, 11-0 in the Round of 16 and followed that up by dispatching Milan Rane and Connor Garnett 11-6, 11-2 in the quarterfinals.
Johns is a 26-year-old Maryland native, while Waters is just 18-years-old but is already one of the most decorated pickleball players in the world.
