Iowa gubernatorial candidate Rob Sand believes the state’s school voucher program lacks oversight and accountability.
In fact, the Democrat, who currently serves as state auditor, described the program as being “wide open for waste, fraud, abuse, and having no rules.”
Speaking at a town hall Monday in Glenwood, Iowa, the Sand expressed frustration on this and other issues crafted by Republican lawmakers in Des Moines.
“They have lost their way,” Sand told a crowd of about 60 people who attended the meeting at the Bloom Senior Center on a rainy afternoon.
