Gaston County is seeking input from residents on a new comprehensive plan for unincorporated areas.

Officials will spend one year creating a plan for growth and development, to be called The Envision Gaston Comprehensive Plan, according to a press release.

“Envision Gaston is a community-driven process that will establish a vision for the unincorporated areas of the county, develop a new land use strategy and create an actionable plan for the future,” it said.

Input from residents will, “help establish a coordinated vision and specific objectives for housing, economic development, transportation, infrastructure, public services, recreation, and natural resources,” the release said.
