A former Fayetteville City Council member is hoping to lower the crime rate in the city and put an end to what he characterizes as corruption in local government.

Paul Williams is a small-business owner and longtime resident of the Fayetteville area. He graduated from Douglas Byrd High School and briefly attended Fayetteville Technical Community College before opening Paul Williams Roofing and Guttering Services.
