The long arm of the law in Fayetteville is about to get a little longer.
The City Council, during its Aug. 4 work session, took a step toward an ordinance that would give Fayetteville police officers new authority to crack down on loiterers, with a particular eye on the city’s parking decks. The proposed ordinance is a response to reports of people partying, spraying fire extinguishers, recording TikTok and other live content from the roof and according to the city, "individuals riding horses on elevators" at the Franklin Street deck.
