EXCLUSIVE : Japanese studio Nikkatsu has picked up international sales for Wind Breaker , the live-action adaptation of a hit manga series by Satoru Nii.

Nikkatsu will introduce international buyers to the feature at the Asian Contents and Film Market (ACFM) in Busan, which runs September 20-23.

The film, set for release in Japan on December 5, is directed by Kentaro Hagiwara and based on a script by Yosuke Masaike. Hagiwara is known for manga adaptations such as Blue Period and Tokyo Ghoul , while Masaike penned the script for Anime Supremacy! , which was nominated for the Japan Academy Award for best screenplay in 2023.

Wind Breaker will bedistributed by Warner Bros. Japan and produced by Yoshitaka Kamo of Michihito Fujii’s Hard Days .
