Mashpee Charter Review Committee at its meeting on Monday , August 4, voted to resubmit two warrant articles for the town’s October Town Meeting.

The Charter Review Committee submitted two articles in March to be considered for the May Town Meeting. The Select Board tabled the articles for the October Town Meeting because Massachusetts General Law requires 90 days between voting on the warrant and voting on the May election ballot.

Mashpee Town Meeting was held on May 5. The town election was held the following weekend on May 10.

Town Manager and Charter Review Committee chairman Rodney C. Collins explained that it was legal counsel’s opinion that there “is a duration of time that is required” in order for things to be done correctly.
