Indiana's legislative leaders aren't publicly discussing the idea of redistricting Indiana's congressional maps following a meeting with Vice President JD Vance, but they are having those conversations behind closed doors, at least on the House side.

House Speaker Todd Huston held a virtual caucus meeting with his members on Aug. 7, the same day Vance met with Gov. Mike Braun, Huston and Senate President Rodric Bray in a closed-door meeting to discuss, among other subjects, President Donald Trump's pitch to redraw the congressional maps. Trump is hoping to pad the GOP's seven-seat majority in the U.S. House before the midterm elections in 2026.

Braun was mum on details following the meeting , saying only that the conversation was "pretty good" and "we listened." Bray and Huston would
