Over a thousand families in West Lothian will be better off following a move by the Scottish Government to mitigate the two-child benefit cap. ‌

Fiona Hyslop MSP has welcomed new figures which reveal that 1,060 families in the local authority area set to benefit from the SNP’s decision to scrap the UK Government’s cap, which limits support to only two children per family. ‌

The Scottish Government revealed in the Scottish Budget in December last year that they would introduce measures to negate the UK Government cap ‌
