Traffic associated with a planned south Perthshire electricity substation is expected to travel through Braco for six months. ‌

Following the completion of a new track for the proposed Cambushinnie 440kv substation, however, it would avoid the village and disruption will be reduced, applicant SSEN Transmission said. ‌

Subject to planning approval, work on the track is expected to start in April 2026 and last 11 months. No work on the substation will take place until the track is completed. ‌
