Robert and David Bintz, originally of Green Bay, spent nearly 25 years in prison for a crime they didn't commit. They were exonerated in 2024 in light of new DNA testing.

The Bintz brothers are seeking nearly $2 million each from the state as compensation for their wrongful convictions.

When Cindy Eastling of Wautoma saw her brother for the first time in over a decade, she hardly recognized him. He was very skinny, had a black eye and looked like "a scared little puppy," Eastling said.

Her brother, Robert Bintz, was dropped off at her house Sept. 26, 2024, after spending nearly 25 years wrongfully incarcerated.
