Red Dwarf legend Chris Barrie has provided concerned fans with a health update following a 'medical situation' that emerged earlier this year.

The 65 year old, who portrayed Arnold J. Rimmer in the beloved science fiction comedy series that became a BBC phenomenon with a devoted following, had previously cancelled all scheduled public engagements due to an ongoing "medical situation".
