Shame on the Trump administration for applying the ax to public radio and public television, and shame on President Donald Trump's obedient lackeys in Congress for allowing it. They are justifying their decision by labeling NPR and PBS as "left-wing" and "radical," since name-calling has become the new undignified norm among many of the dignitaries who are currently in control of our nation. (" Corporation for Public Broadcasting to shut down after being defunded by Congress ," Aug. 1.)

But there are two very large problems with this justification. If a right-wing ruling party can be allowed to annihilate an established organization like public radio and TV just because of alleged left-wing views, that does not sound like the United States of America to me. That sounds more like Russia,
