Ketchum coed softball team Miley Roofing’s Jimberly Rooney said the team is used to stringing together wins after losing early in the final tournament of the season, a double-elimination competition.

For the fifth time in six years, Miley Roofing was the last team standing at the end of the tournament, with the team picking up a 14-3 victory over the Magpies to win the league on Sunday at Atkinson Park in Ketchum.

“We’re used to it,” said Rooney, who has been a part of the team for 10 years. “We always tend to do that to ourselves. It’s a lot of ball but we had fun.”

After the team lost its second game of the tournament to Cellar Pub, the team won five straight games on Sunday to emerge victorious.
