Staff at an opticians and audiology centre in Wishaw raised almost £660 to help Veterans Community (Lanarkshire) in Craigneuk after hearing vital lifesaving equipment had been damaged by mindless vandals, rendering it useless. ‌

The team at Specsavers helped support the community fundraising effort for the Veterans Community Hub in Shieldmuir Street, to replace defibrillator equipment after the equipment was taken from its cabinet situated on the exterior of the building, and its paddles stolen. ‌

The opticians, which is locally owned and run and located on the town’s Main Street, helped the charity reach a donation goal to replace the equipment – donating £659 to the collection totals, which had already seen over £800 raised by members of the community. ‌
