Wilfred Ndidi’s long Leicester City career is over after his £9m switch to Besiktas was confirmed.

City’s longest-serving player following Jamie Vardy’s exit earlier in the summer, Ndidi departs as an FA Cup, Community Shield and Championship winner having made 303 appearances across his eight-and-a-half years at the King Power Stadium.

So long an integral member of the starting line-up, Ndidi should be remembered as a City great.

Arriving from Genk in January 2017 as City’s replacement for N’Golo Kante, Ndidi’s athleticism and awareness saw him protect the back four superbly, often topping the Premier League charts for tackles and interceptions.
