LAWRENCE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) - One person was arrested and another is wanted after a body was discovered in Lawrence County.

Lawrence County Sheriff Ryan Everett said deputies responded to a call around 7:30 a.m. on August 5 about a body being located in the Silver Creek area. They were assisted by the Mississippi State Fire Marshal's Office, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI), the Lawrence County Coroner's Office and McComb police, who had a report of a missing person about 24 hours earlier.

Shortly after midnight on August 6, Everett said deputies arrested Timothy LaShun Hathorn, of Brookhaven, in connection to the case.
