FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - During Thursday’s Team Kentucky briefing, Governor Andy Beshear touted the Commonwealth’s effort to stop a spike in scams.
Beshear cited an FBI report showing Kentuckians lost more than $74 million to scams in 2024.
The Governor says the impact goes beyond the numbers and affects how Kentuckians navigate their personal and financial lives.
During Thursday’s briefing, Beshear announced a new Team Kentucky website, StopScams.ky.gov .
“This site and accompanying resources, and different events we’re going to do, are going to help us identify more scams to more people before they fall for them,” Beshear said. “It’s gonna help us make sure they can be reported, so these people can be found and arrested for the criminals that they are, and we can do everything we ca
