(WPHL) -- A 16-year-old male is recovering from the hospital after he suffered a graze wound in North Philadelphia.

According to the Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the shooting occurred at the Johnson Homes on the 2000 block of North 27th Street just after 11:30 p.m.

Police found the teenager bleeding from a graze wound to his forehead.

"He had been shot, but he's very lucky he was grazed", said Inspector Small

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he is recovering in stable condition.

Small said the boy was standing in the doorway of his house when he was shot.

"One of the bullets actually broke the window to the front door of his property. We know at least 13 shots were fired from a semi-automatic weapon or semi-automatic weapons. We found 13 spent sh
