Nationwide confirms you may need to visit a branch to collect £50

Nationwide Building Society members who have not yet received a £50 bonus payment may need to take action.

The society issued the £50 payments to over 12 million members as a token of appreciation following its successful acquisition of Virgin Money.

Dubbed the 'Big Nationwide Thank You', most payments were directly deposited into bank accounts.

Some of the £50 payments were credited either into a Nationwide current account, instant access or limited access savings account in the member's name.

Mortgage customers had the payments deposited into the account used for their mortgage direct debit. All other payments were dispatched as cheques in the post.
