More than three decades after its initial release, one of Indian cinema’s most influential action dramas is gearing up for a return to theaters.
Star Nagarjuna and filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma have revealed plans to re-release their groundbreaking 1989 film “ Siva ” in a technologically enhanced presentation that promises to introduce the cult classic to a new generation of moviegoers.
The crime drama, which drew from Varma’s own student experiences in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, delivered a gripping portrayal of students being exploited by anti-social elements. The film starred Nagarjuna alongside Amala and Raghuvaran, with music composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja.
