Ballymaguire Foods approved to produce meals again weeks after more than 140 products were taken off shelves after listeria detection

Ballymaguire Foods products will be back on supermarket shelves by Tuesday.

Ballymaguire Foods has received approval from the HSE to start production today once again after a “thorough” review into the possible presence of listeria at one production site.

The company in north Co Dublin will have its products back on supermarket shelves by Tuesday after being given the green light by the National Environmental Health Service of the HSE.

Last month, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) recalled more than 140 ready-made meals and side dishes over concerns regarding the presence of listeria bacteria. The HSE notified the public one person
