The US Air Force is reporting kicking out long-serving trans troops without providing them with retirement benefits, a leaked memo suggests.
Trans and non-binary service members with between 15 and 18 years of military service will reportedly be told to quit or be forced out with no retirement benefits typically afforded to long-serving members.
It comes as the US military has begun the process of removing trans troops from the armed forces following a January executive order from US president Donald Trump.
According to a leaked memo seen by Reuters , assistant secretary for manpower and reserve affairs Brian Scarlett said an exception to the US Air Force’s early retirement scheme over gender dysphoria would not apply to a bracket of trans troops.
Instead, the long-serving members will
