A man was arrested last month after being accused of breaking into a woman’s Paterson home and sexually assaulting her at knifepoint, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office announced Thursday.

Jesus Mora Cruz, 27, of Paterson was arrested on July 24 and charged with attempted murder, robbery, home invasion burglary and two counts of aggravated sexual assault, all first degree charges.

He was also charged with second-degree aggravated assault and third-degree charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact and weapons-related offenses, the office said.
