There are huge delays of up to an hour on the M5 heading south towards Gloucestershire after a crash involving a motorbike and a car this afternoon (Friday, August 8).

The incident has happened just after junction 7 for Worcester and Evesham.

Traffic cameras show long queues of traffic heading south. Northbound is also slow as motorists slow down to have a look at the crash scene.

National Highways said: "A collision involving a car and motorbike has resulted in reduced capacity on the M5 southbound between J7 Worcester and J8 (M50/Strensham).

"Delays of up to 45 minutes on approach. Approximately five miles of congestion."
