There's something new lighting up Nashville, and it's not just the neon signs along Broadway. DOLLY: A True Original Musical is premiering in Nashville now through August 31.

Before Dolly Parton sets her sights on Broadway, she decided to open the brand new musical she's been working on in a place that feels most like home—Nashville, Tennessee. While the show has been running preview performances since July, its official opening date is August 8 at the Fisher Center for Performing Arts .

Before final rehearsals and performances began, Country Living sat down with Dolly herself to ask a few questions about the show. I only had to pinch myself a few times.
