This year marks the first that Crow citizen Noel Twoleggins is serving as the Crow Fair parade manager, spearheading the organization for the annual four-day event. But his ties to the fair stretch back generations.

“Our family are the original stewards of where the Crow Fair happens,” Twoleggins explained.

When Crow Fair started after the establishment of the reservations, Twoleggins said his great-great-grandfather offered to host the gathering on his land, where it continued to be held for decades. Twoleggins' father was elected as parade manager in 2000, and his uncle won the position in 2007.

“Throughout the years, I've been tied to helping out in some way and giving advice,” Twoleggins said.
