That's especially true in North Texas, where the "Yellowstone" show creator has filmed numerous projects and spinoffs and prequels over the last five years. Now, there appears to be another in the pipeline, and it's not one we've heard of just yet.
Ferris, a city of about 4,000 people 20 miles south of Dallas, announced this week that a new "Yellowstone" spinoff series will be filmed there. Ferris officials say the new show will be titled "Rio Palo," which translates to "stick river" in Spanish, although it's not clear what, if any, meaning that will hold for the show, or how that relates to anything in the "Yellowstone" universe.
