TRAVERSE CITY — A mural steeped in history and hope now rising in the narthex of the Traverse City Presbyterian Church is more than art; it’s a call to collective reflection and responsibility.
More than 9 feet tall and stretching 31 feet wide, the work has emerged from the church’s deepening relationship with the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and a commitment to living out its Land Acknowledgement and Commitment to Care.
