BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) - On August 7th, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division arrested Ahmed Sattar Ismael, a police officer with the Midville Police Department, in connection with a domestic dispute reported earlier that day.

The victim met with police to discuss the incident that happened at her home early Thursday.

She said that she returned home around 10:15 a.m. to pick up her 12-year-old son when she was confronted by her husband, Ismael, who demanded the couple’s marriage license. The confrontation allegedly stemmed from victim's recent request for a divorce.

According to the victim, Ismael’s behavior escalated when she could fine the license.
