The Provincial Junior Hockey League team, which is nearing its 60 th anniversary, has added three players for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign that have a family connection of some sort to the junior C club. Article content Article content

Rookie defencemen Owen Hunt, of Stratford; and Ryan Walkom, of Ilderton, have fathers that at one time played with the Hawks. Hunt’s dad Jeff was a forward for the club a generation ago, and Walkom’s dad Paul made an appearance as a goaltender, not to mention grandfather Bill’s involvement as a coach more than half a century ago.

Both Hunt and Walkom will be joined by Colin Schultz, also of Stratford, who’s dad Tim never played for
