GENTRY, Ark. — The body of Odin Upton, a child reported missing on Thursday night, was found Friday morning.

According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office, the 6-year-old boy was reported missing shortly before 10 p.m. on August 7 near his home on Browning Road in Gentry.

"Sheriff Holloway immediately activated the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Teams to begin an extensive search," BCSO said in a statement released on Friday morning.

At 8 a.m. on Friday, August 8, Odin's body was found, the sheriff's office said.

"Our hearts are with Odin’s family, friends, and all who loved him during this difficult time," said Lieutenant Shannon Jenkins.

No other information has been released at this time.
