CONSTANTINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — State police say a driver was killed in a crash Thursday night near Constantine.
It happened around 8 p.m. at US-131 and Youngs Prairie Road.
According to the Michigan State Police, an SUV was heading east on Youngs Prairie Road, approaching the intersection. Troopers say the SUV failed to yield, turned left at the intersection and collided with a southbound recreational vehicle.
The driver of the SUV, an 86-year-old man from Constantine, died on scene, according to MSP. His name was not immediately released. It's not clear whether he was wearing a seat belt.
The occupants of the RV, including the 48-year-old Caledonia man who was driving, suffered minor injuries. State police say they were wearing seat belts.
