Netflix has secured the official Canadian broadcasting rights to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2027 and 2031.
This marks the first time the tournament will be available exclusively on a streaming service in Canada. Currently, the rights are held by Bell-owned TSN. Netflix also previously bought the rights to the next two Women’s World Cups in the U.S.
The 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup will mark the tournament’s tenth anniversary and take place from June 24 to July 25, 2027 in Brazil. In total, 32 teams from around the globe will compete across eight cities. Meanwhile, FIFA Congress is set to appoint the host(s) for 2031’s tournament in the second quarter of 2026. For now, we know the 2031 edition will feature the tournament’s first-ever 48-team edition.
