Pulaski County High School student Owen Lewis recently had the opportunity to travel to Louisville to compete in the Kentucky Swimming Long Course Championship Meet. The meet was comprised of the most elite swimmers in the Commonwealth. 24 of the best USA swim teams in Kentucky were invited to compete and Lake Cumberland Swim, of which Lewis is a part of, was one of those teams.

Lewis practiced over long distance over the summer to prepare for the state meet, as he was attending the Governor’s Scholar Program at Morehead State. He managed to cut times in both the 100 Fly and 50 Free events. Lewis was extremely grateful of the opportunity.
