TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Police Department and loved ones honored the life of Officer Toalua "Charlie" Aumua Friday morning, one week after Aumua tragically lost his life while off-duty.

The Temple-Belton community has been coming together to support the family of fallen Temple Police Officer Toalua "Charlie" Aumua through a special fundraiser organized by local restaurants.

Wes's Burger Shack, Bill's Grill, and Best Quality Meats will host the community fundraiser from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday. For $6, they will serve biscuits and gravy or bacon, egg, and cheese burritos. All of the proceeds will go directly to Officer Aumua's family.
