FITCHBURG, Wis. (WKOW) — A Verona man is dead after a crash Thursday involving a motorcycle and SUV in Fitchburg.
Fitchburg police officers were called at 5:20 p.m. to the 2600 block of South Seminole Highway for a report of a two-vehicle crash, according to a press release.
When officers arrived, they found that a motorcycle had hit an SUV while traveling north on Seminole Highway.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 54-year-old man from Verona, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead by the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office. His name has not been released.
The Village of Oregon Police Department and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the crash investigation.
