There’s a drone ban looming over the U.S. right now, due to growing trade tensions between the U.S. and China, along with security concerns surrounding Chinese-made drones.

Some reports say that by Dec. 23, all drones manufactured in China will require a formal security review. Those who don’t make the deadline will be added to the FCC’s “covered list,” which means they won’t be able to be sold in the U.S.

As of Aug. 9, no audit has been scheduled. And DJI’s even called on the government to do its worst as they have “nothing to hide.” Even so, the company said it’s been struggling to import its drones into the U.S., and retailer supply is starting to dry up .
