A Morganton man was arrested after a police chase earlier in the week.

Brandon Pack Hoewischer, 22, of South Road, Morganton, was charged with felony flee to elude.

The Burke County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were involved in a chase on Monday, Aug. 4, that was ended due to safety concerns.

Two days later, the sheriff’s office asked for the public’s help for information on the driver involved in the chase. The post included photos of the driver on a motorcycle.

Following an investigation and help from the public on social media, the driver was identified as Hoewischer, a release from the sheriff's office said.

That same day, Burke County Sheriff’s Office detectives went to Hoewischer’s home and he was arrested without incident and the motorcycle was seized, the release said.
