The Boston Celtics are keeping their championship-winning coach in place.
Joe Mazzulla has agreed to a multi-year extension with the team, according to a statement released Thursday.
Specific terms of the deal were not made public, but the move locks in one of the NBA’s youngest and most successful head coaches heading into the 2025-26 season.
“This is truly a blessing,” Mazzulla said in a statement. “I would not be here without my faith, my wife and my children. We are thankful for the partnership with our ownership groups, Brad’s mentorship and the support of our staff.”
Mazzulla, a Rhode Island native, became the 19th head coach in franchise history when he officially took the reins in February 2023.
