A woman "wouldn't dare" walk down a Glasgow southside lane following a "disgusting" build-up of rubbish and flytipping.

The local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, says rubbish in a lane just off Farne Drive, in Simshill, has been building up in recent weeks following a missed bin collection and she, along with her neighbours are becoming increasingly concerned that it may attract rats unless it gets cleared soon.

She claims that despite the issue being reported to Glasgow City Council , the mess is yet to be cleared up.
