CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo. -- A man from Nixa has been sentenced to ten years in prison after police found drugs in his home in 2023.

Under an amended plea agreement, Robert Allen Mitchell Jr. pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree trafficking drugs, one count of delivering a controlled substance, one count of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. His sentences will be served concurrently for 10 years.

On May 5, 2023, Nixa police conducted a traffic stop and arrested someone who said they bought heroin from an address that belonged to Mitchell.

Police searched Mitchell's home and found a large amount of illegal drugs, including cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, xanax and LSD. They also discovered drug paraphernalia, digit
