RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford is announcing a new crackdown on robocalls.
Operation Robocall Roundup is a multi-state effort to crack down on robocalls nationwide. Ford and 50 AGs sent a warning letter to 37 voice providers demanding they stop illegal robocalls being routed through their networks.
“The ongoing deluge of robocalls across the country and in Nevada has become a nuisance to our residents that must end,” said AG Ford. “The providers that we have warned today have ignored federal rules meant to stop these robocalls from getting through to the phones of Nevadans. They must immediately comply with these rules.”
