CLEVELAND, Ohio — Most football teams would be hard-pressed to replace three standouts now at Power Four colleges.
Villa Angela-St. Joseph is faced with that following the graduation of Lamar “Bo” Jackson Jr., who is now at Ohio State, Brian Kortovich (Penn State) and lineman Robert Smith (Boston College). However, the Vikings still have plenty more prospects who will have enhanced roles this season.
“I’m not going to say nobody can be replaced in our program,” said junior Jerry Black Jr., who holds a Toledo offer at linebacker and safety. “We have guys who can live up to the hype.”
Senior cornerback and receiver Savion Lewis added, “We just got a lot of growing up to do.”
