DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. —

Deputies in Dorchester County, South Carolina, are searching for answers after finding a body discarded in a rural area.

On Sunday, Aug. 3, the Dorchester County sheriff’s deputies say they found the body of an unidentified Black male in the 100 block of White House Pond Road.

The individual is believed to be between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighing around 190 pounds.

Since finding the body, deputies have worked to gather evidence and identify the victim.

The Sheriff's Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male.
