HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - Members of the Indiana House Democratic Caucus met with other state senators and U.S. representatives in Indianapolis to speak out against redistricting.
State Senator Jim Tomes is one republican who doesn't think redistricting is needed. Tomes says he believes the lines are fairly drawn and believes republicans are in good shape for the 2026 midterms.
He also says that if you look at the statewide races, republicans are strongly in control.
Democratic State Representative Alex Burton says the republicans are "bending the knee" to political pressure from Washington D.C instead of addressing urgent issues.
