Jeanne Pearl Ellis, age 76, died on August 1, 2025, at the Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was born on December 31, 1948, in Sault Ste. Marie to Stanley and Katherine (Syer) Plis.

Jeanne grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Soo High School.

Jeanne enjoyed fishing, gardening and looking for mushrooms in the springtime. She loved animals and volunteering at the animal shelter.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Martin (Lorraine Rapson) Izzard of Sault Ste. Marie; grandchildren, Laura Rapson, Johanthan (Felicia) Izzard, Nathan Izzard and Marcus Izzard; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Laila, Ashton, Adriana, Abel, and Axelyn.

Jeanne was preceded by her husband, Bob; son, Gary Russell Izzard; parents, Stanley and Katherine; siblings, Stanley Jr., Joe, Ilene, Kitty, N
