Iceland has made a major change which is being rolled out across 900 stores in the next few weeks. The new initiative means that people can access food for free to reduce waste and also help some of the neediest families in the country. ‌

The high street retailer has rolled out a new food waste scheme across the UK with food-sharing app Olio and savings app Gander. ‌

The frozen food specialist is advertising its yellow sticker reductions to Olio’s UK users through its app, following a trial of the initiative in selected London and Bristol sites. ‌
