North Hampton Fire & Rescue continued operations at a 5-acre brush fire behind North Hampton School for the second day Friday.

Reports of smoke came in from all over the area, including Salisbury Beach and residents of Greenland.

“There is a significant amount of smoke drifting towards Rye and Hampton due to this fire,” the department wrote on Facebook. “If you have an emergency, call 911 immediately, but please be aware this ongoing incident is the cause of the current smoke condition in the area.”

Greenland Fire Department posted about the blaze on Thursday.
